We are proud to showcase our capabilities with a recent shipment that took us from Surrey, BC, Canada, all the way to Muskogee, Oklahoma. We transported this crawler rock drill rig using a removable gooseneck (also known as an RGN) trailer. This machine is an essential tool used in the construction and oil & gas industries to drill directionally through the tough ground.
The rig was a whopping 34.5 ft long x 9.9 ft wide x 10.5 ft high and weighed in at 59,525 lbs. As expected, it required a width and weight permit, and it had to clear the Canadian border before being delivered to a jobsite in the US. The customer required a tight timeline, and to make matters worse, we were faced with bad weather coming from the far north. Despite the challenges, we had 4 days to complete the delivery, and we’re proud to say that we succeeded in delivering the shipment directly to the jobsite on time.
